Biography Born in Istanbul in 1923, he completed his secondary education in Ankara. In 1940, he began his higher education at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Faculty of Electrical Engineering, receiving a free boarding education. He graduated in 1946 and joined the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as an assistant in the High Frequency Technology Department. From 1952 to 1970, he worked in the research laboratories of Philips, Siemens, and Rohde and Schwarz, Europe's leading electronics companies, during the summer months. In 1955, he became an associate professor at ITU. In 1958, he left the university and began working as Assistant Technical Manager at Cukurova Elektrik. In 1960, upon receiving an invitation from TEM, the company awarded the General Directorate of Press and Broadcasting the tender to manufacture transmitters for nine provincial radio stations in Turkey, he left Cukurova Elektrik and took part in the radio stations project. He served as project leader in the design and production of the transmitters. He returned to the university in 1964 and received the title of professor. He retired in 1983 and began working as a Technical Coordinator at Elektropar, a radio and television manufacturer. In 1989, he became a Technical Coordinator at ERA Elektronik. He resigned from this position due to illness in 2019. He continued to provide remote support to ERA R&D personnel as needed. Prof. Saya passed away on December 31, 2024. His funeral took place on January 3, 2025. He was laid to rest in Ayazaga Cemetery. Books of Prof. Saya:
