Power Output Forecasting of a Solar House by Considering Different Cell Temperature Methods
Electricity generation from solar energy has gathered wide interest in recent years due to many advantages of solar energy systems, for example, not polluting the environment, storing the excess energy in batteries, having simple structures and easy applications. Forecasting of power generation is needed for accurate design and performance evaluation of solar energy systems to associate demand and source side dynamics efficiently. In this study, cell temperature values of on-grid photovoltaic panels of a solar house placed in Anadolu University İki Eylül Campus are estimated by using six different models. In addition, power output values of the system are forecasted by using estimated cell temperature values of the model with the highest accuracy , outdoor parameters and panel specifications with three different models. The estimated values are compared with measured values, and finally, the most accurate models are determined depending on the results of statistical test analysis methods.
